Commissioners voted 2 to 1 to reopen the Courthouse without any restrictions at their meeting on Monday. This takes affect June 8, 2020 at 3:00pm. Screening and temperature will still be done upon entry to the courthouse for everyone. Some offices will still have precautions in place as listed below. We want to thank everyone for thier continued patience and understanding during this pandemic.
COUNTY CLERK - No limits in office
COUNTY TREASURER - Treasurer’s Office will accept customers from 8:30 to 4:00 daily. We will limit number in the office to 3 at a time. Only one customer at a time and no one under the age of 16. We are encouraging customers to renew vehicles online, by mail or by our dropbox in the courthouse vestibule. This will remain in effect until further notice.
DRIVERS LICENSE - Drivers License accepting customers from 8:30 to 11:30 and 12:30 to 4:00. Limit of one customer at a time. Please call ahead if you have questions on what you need to bring to avoid making multiple trips. This will remain in effect until further notice.
REGISTER OF DEEDS - No limits in office. They do encourage customers to wear masks and practice social distancing.
APPRAISER - Thier door will be closed and they will be conducting business at thier window. There is a bell that can be rung for service. This will remain in effect until further notice.
DISTRICT COURT - They are mandated by the Supreme Court Administrative Order 48. They are encouraging masks and everyone entering the building will have their temperature taken and will be asked a series of screening questions. There is a maximum of 10 people in a courtroom at one time maintining social distancing. By order of the chief judge, access to the court is currently restricted to attorneys, parties in cases, people who have been requested to appear or people who made an appointment in advance.
