We are very excited to bring this new website that is more robust and interactive for users. Our new website is ADA compliant and I think you will find it's much easier to navigate.
You will find lots of information right on the home page with the Government/Departments that lists links to all of the offices of Brown County. We now have a dedicated page for Elections which can also be found at the top of our home page. Find it Fast is something new to this site and allows you to maybe find things without knowing the specific office it may located under.
Under this row of tabs you will find what we call "bulletins". These are 3 roatating items that may contain news, a message or it may just be a picture from our community. You may click on these bulletins to find more information about the item.
Below the bulletin slideshow you will find six buttons that will take you straight to important information for our county. Agenda/Minutes takes you to a list of current and past minutes and a link to the current Agenda is the top link on the left hand side of the page. In the Forms & Documents section, is a listing of all forms and documents from each office. If you don't see the one you are looking for click on "View all" to view the complete list for that department. The DMS Online and Parcel Search buttons are for paid subscriptions provided to professionals. Email Notifications is new for us and is where you can subscribe to get an email from Brown County for certain events, such as when news items are added to the site, Agenda or Minutes are posted, etc. There is no fee for email notifications. There are several items you can choose from when you sign up and this list will grow as we expand our website. This is not a mass email so you don't need to worry that others will be able to see your email. The email will come from
Brown County, KS <firstname.lastname@example.org> and will provide you with the information needed. The last button is a link to pay your property taxes online. This is only available during tax time in December and May.
On the bottom of our page is a place for the latest news from Brown County and a section of Popular Links. These sections will grow along with our website.
We hope that you will enjoy our new site and check back often as we develop our site to provide the public with the information they need.
